So here it is ladies, the first Belle Duvet note!!! My hopes and prayers are that you will grow and be blessed by these notes, and that I myself will grow with you as we journey on the path to rediscover God’s blueprint for us. As from today, we will aspire to no longer chase a worldly standard, but to marinate in the Word of God, hear what He has to say about us… if we discover, take hold of and understand His beauty within, it will radiate and manifest on the outside. So what better way to start off with, than with Proverbs 31?! If you have any insights, revelations or words about this scripture, please feel free to share!!!

Whether you’re married or not, this is a good learning scripture for any girl growing up and any woman taking on life. Please realize that this is not a scripture to shun beauty and make those that have been blessed with physical beauty, feel ashamed and perceived as vain… nooo this is to establish and prove to you that being virtuous is a form of beauty that shines through and is noticeable. Looking at all of your profile pictures as you joined this account, I sat there and thought to myself, all of these ladies really, really are so beautiful!!! And if we can awaken that calling, Power and passion, that Godly life from within, we will shine a different kind of beauty. And the intentions of this site is to help you realize exactly just that, and to channel it into the right direction. To use that beauty as a Godly attribute and create a movement of beautiful women that don’t merely reflect a vain worldly standard of beauty, but a substantial, evidential beauty that is deep and rooted from within, and shines throughout. I still don’t believe that one must neglect your physical looks all together, because the scriptures refer to beauty as vanity – it is important to realize and discern when beauty is referred to as “vain”. God himself used Beauty to win over Kingdoms, just look at Esther (which our next notes will be looking at). Looking after yourself is not vain, in fact, it is encouraged, your body is a temple, and we are the light of the world, meaning that people will start to notice you and look at you, and you will serve as an inspiration and example to people. We need to change the perception and image of beauty and make worldly women long for what we have, and not the other way around. In order to be that example to all, we need to be radiant inside and out, knowing and living the fact that we are different. We have a different type of beauty given to us. That is the reason why there will be notes on tips for beauty, because we need to be the example, and it is important to look after yourselves spiritually and physically. A lot of girls growing up, don’t have a motherly influence to guide her as to the right beauty rituals and to help her look after herself as she grows into a woman, and that is so unfair, because all women deserve to know how to be beautiful, to believe that they are beautiful and to be respected as being beautiful, strong women of God. But what makes the difference, is that together, we will cultivate and help that inner Godly beauty to grow even more and to radiate and shine through!! With your help, testimonies and tips, we will be the generations of change. The women noticed for their unspeakable beauty, wisdom, strength and prosperity. So here goes:

THE WIFE OF NOBLE (honourable, upright, moral standing) CHARACTER

Pro 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman?for her price is far above rubies.
Pro 31:11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

Pro 31:13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.

Pro 31:15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.

Pro 31:17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
Pro 31:18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
Pro 31:19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
Pro 31:20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
Pro 31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
Pro 31:22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
Pro 31:23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.
Pro 31:24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.
Pro 31:25 Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
Pro 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Pro 31:27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Pro 31:28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Pro 31:29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.
Pro 31:30 Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Pro 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

If you are not married, don’t worry, it’s about virtues and ensuring that you focus on adapting these virtues. I am sure that the married ladies can help testify to the benefits of a mother/wife that do possess these virtues, whether it being literal or symbolic. But if you can have and practice these virtues while still young, can you imagine the woman you will become!!!??? So Proverbs describes a virtuous woman, let’s call her the Godly Woman, as having more worth than rubies. Why rubies and what does this mean? Rubies are seen as one of the rarest gems, actually being of more worth than any other stones, including diamonds! They are also the rarest of gemstones. I read an interesting piece (go read this if you can: http://www.answersingenesis.org/articles/am/v5/n2/rubies) on how these rubies were formed. Scientists believe that it could have been formed with the great Flood of Noah. So let’s recap quickly what happened there – God brought a flood upon humankind to rid of the sinful nations, after the flood He made a special promise and covenant not to ever do that again. These rubies were formed during the evolution of this event leading up to God’s promise to mankind, to me this almost serves as a symbol of this event, seeing that they were formed during the huge earth movements produced by this Flood. And what this then means to me is that what we are actually reading here is that the Godly woman is worth more to God than the promise He made that day. It is a bigger attribute and worth more than the actual event that took place with the Flood… you are worth more than the most precious and rarest stone formed during that event. Making Rubies some of the oldest stones as well, this means that you are more worth than time in itself! Do you realize what this means? Your worth is far above you can ever imagine. You as a Godly woman, are rare, timeless and priceless!!

The Godly woman is a hard worker, not scared to take on tasks, but not neglecting herself, or her family. The Godly woman cares about the welfare of her loved ones, as well as the welfare of others. She recognizes opportunities and wastes no time in taking them on, and making them successful! She nurtures and cares. She is not idle and sits around all day waiting for things to fall in her lap – no, she rises before the others and prepares herself and the opportunities at hand by working, meditating and taking in the Word and Wisdom of God. She realizes the importance of being strong mentally, emotionally and physically. She meditates on the Word of God and stays close to Him in order to learn that inner strength. She is always prepared, and in dark and trying times, she will not fade, but shine brighter than ever. Offering others a safe refuge with her words of kindness and wisdom. She is as a lamp that burns throughout the night, constantly offering guidance. She is not afraid to work and goes the extra mile, for herself, her family and for charity. Often seen how a woman can multi-task? There’s a good reason for that! Godly women are not afraid to work, and because of this attribute, she and all around her will prosper, because of that.

She clothes ‘her people with scarlet’: To me this means the following and feel free to contribute – scarlet is a type of red, a deep red, a crimson red, often referred to as God’s love, the colour of love and passion. So a Godly woman clothes, she covers her people in love, in perfect love, ensuring that all fear is casted out, that they are protected, that they are covered in 1 Cor. 13 love. And then she makes herself clothes of tapestry, silk and purple. Purple “symbolizes Jesus' royalty; believer's royalty; majesty; wealth; power; penitence; the name of God; kingdom authority; dominion, son-ship; the promises of God; inheritance; mediator; inheritance; priesthood. Revelations 5:10, "And has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth."(http://www.raisedpraise.com/id19.html)”. Thus she clothes herself with the wisdom that she is royalty, a daughter of the most High King. She walks in confidence, she is of royal blood, the day she started accepting God, was the day that she became a queen, and she walks in that promise. So a Godly Woman is proud, confident and driven, and she has the demeanor of a royal queen. No matter what your physical circumstances, there’s no reason why your conduct shouldn’t be that of a noble queen, because you know what? You are worth it, in fact, you are worth more than life itself to God, that’s why He sent Jesus. So from today, don’t dwell on insecurities, rule over them, and see every part of you as royal. There is no one out there quite like you, and no one out there can be the type of queen that you are. So remember to wake up every morning and deliberately choose to think of yourself as being royal, noble and just. The Word of God says “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is”, a Godly Woman thinks of herself as royalty, called and unique.

Godly women make those around her proud to be associated with her – they are inspired by her and her virtuous conduct attracts people. A Godly women places emphasis on God and reverently fears Him, she walks with God daily (walk is also referred to in the Strong’s concordance as praying, in constant, close conversation with God, and spending time in God’s presence). Acknowledging God in all she does and looking unto Jesus, helps her to be led by the Spirit of God. This doesn’t mean that you can’t make any decision unless God gives you the ok, He has given you a sound mind and wisdom to discern, so if you feel peace, then go for it, but if there’s a second of doubt then leave it! Acknowledging Him in all you do simply means speaking to Him, telling Him your dreams, plans, opportunities and asking guidance, opening your heart and to be sensitive to His spirit, allowing Him the freedom to lead you. It’s a partnership, God knows you are capable of doing things, He made you a strong and wise woman, but you give Him the Freedom to lead you and intercede when He feels it necessary. The Godly woman doesn’t strive for worldly beauty and the vanity thereof, but rather Godly beauty and the attributes that goes with it… and once she understands and lives out this Godly beauty, praise comes automatically! My prayer for you today, is that you will realize your worth as a woman of God and that you will strive to know Him more, and to live out His spirit and heart that is within you. If you want to change the world, start with yourself!!!Be blessed beautiful, strong, powerful women of God!
